ya gr8 team, esp looking at our vulerability in 1-day matches, this seems to give a perfect balance. Ganguly is out of both squad which makes a lot of people happy, at least to me.
and yes one more good thing is that a lot of options at all positions which makes people to think and play positive cricket and dont take everything for granted.

Well am a bit disappointed on how easily we Indians forget our main problem and look for fixes. The main problem with the Indian test team is we are not having an opener and I do not see how Dinesh Mongia solves that. We had a very good test opener in Akash Chopra but then the team mangement preferred Yuvraj over him and from then our chances went for a toss. It was Sehwag-Chopra combo that helped us conquer Australia in Australia.
We fared badly against Australia because we did not try and use our strength which is spin. We had Mr. Sharad Pawar trying to prove a point by putting pressure on Vidarbha Cricket Ass. to make what was a blinder of a pitch in Nagpur. But then to expect Rationale thinking from Indian cricket fans when India is losing is like expecting Israel to vacate occupied territory.

@Amit :: Thanks :-)

@Hima :: No, I'm not a Dada-basher but his recent performances are not worth keeping him in the team.

@Anonymous :: This team is based on the current form and the recent record of players, we won just 5 of out last 13 ODIs; 3 out of 5 were against UAE,B'desh and Zim. Isn't it alarming? I agree , we did well in Aus/Pak coz of Sehwag-Chopra combo but since selectors has destroyed the confidence of both Yuvraj and Chopra, so Gambhir deserves a fair chance.
Yes, this region politics cost us the Nagpur test, but in chennai we ourselves are to be blamed for the draw.
