- She won the national title for the first time in 1997 at the age of 15, and kept it for next 7 consecutive years.
- She was among the best in Asia.
- Suffered a serious back-injury while preparing for next meet.
- Pleaded to the deaf ears of State Govt. official for financial help , even failed to get the promised prize money.
- To save her parents from further debts, last saturday night consumed poison and committed suicide.

That was one of the sorriest things I have read in the papers recently. All of us should be sorry.

In India other than cricket none of the sports are encouraged.
Government is at times are not for Needy, It is always for greedy.
Government will be more happy to fecilitate Sachin with lakhs of Rs, Even though he is not really in need.
Atleast now government should stop grooming the grommed one & encourage the new talent.
Another sad tale which really breaks the heart !!
