Last week’s ‘comings and goings’

They again selected the team without asking my opinion; as usual their selection doesn't matches mine. I would have preferred one middle order batsman (S.Sriram to be precise) instead of selecting two openers, that would have served as a warning to Laxman for taking his place for granted.
Selecting two openers doesn't make any sense to me, this will only add pressure on Gambhir; coz he knows if he fails to deliver then Jadhav is there to take his place. And at last they dropped Parthiv Patel*, I'm so relieved and happy about it, this time Aussie's trick didn't work with our selectors, as they always allow him to score some runs so that he gets selected for next match :-)
(*heard that he doesn't even catches cold :-D )
***************************************************************************************************

Our roads and traffic are just unrivaled, on same so-called road all types of contraptions run; thursday night I almost rammed into an elephant.....it was on its after dinner stroll on Nizammudin bridge that too in the fast moving right-most lane, and wow and I just love the color of it, it was beautifully intermingled with the darkness.
***************************************************************************************************

Watched an episode of "Indian Idol", there was mad rush at all audition centers....they should seriously consider re-naming it to "Indian IDLE".
In all show was pathetic, apart from Sonu Nigam other two judges Anu Malik and Farah Khan were too rude; they should be sued for humiliating people.

Reliance people have changed all the mobile numbers to ten-digit format as per TRAI instructions, so my number has also gone haywire.

Funny I should read this, only today I wrote a post about how pleasant it was to drive through Delhi in the early morning.

yeah, Reliance has done something like 93125 **** ..or something. Heard someone ranting about it yesterday.

nice one about patel-->(*heard that he doesn't even catches cold :-D )
well i still dont understand why cant dinesh mongia get a chance at this time when he is in form,he did all good in england and still not there in 11.
and yes i think there is somthing else going on within indian team, u cant jst perform so badly either there is a major politics going on or i dont know but i can just sense something fishy..
finally some new faces in indian XI or BCCI XI(i'll not comment much on this becoz the matter is in court) but dont know how much chances will they get, and another thing which indian team desperately requires is a quality spinner and we dont have one.

They are trying to do a la American Idol and failing miserably... its a cidey show... nowadays wherever you see you get some idol or the other reality show happening...

Music Idol..
item number idol...

Sheesh... as if we did not have any better things to do and the sad part is that they have people falling for it too...

the best they have done was the VIVA thing which has also died down ... SIGH...

well the selectors seems to agree to u quite often now, they are certainly reading ur blogs if nothing else.

S. Sriram has finally got a chance to play but only a single one-dayer against pakistan where he will get a chance(An india-Pakistan match to celebrate the BCCI's Platinum Jubilee on 13th november), not sure becoz ganguly is back. Rohan gavaskar is gone as expected. I think its now all over for parthiv patel(thankfully for india) also bcoz besides karthik, there is Dhoni who is waiting to get into the big XI, lets see.

manuscrypts:: Very true, everything illogical..irritating and irrelevant thing is possible with Reliance people. (again had a bad experience with a webworld crap)

Reshma:: it is pleasant to drive in the early early and early morning only, after that school buses/cabs, cattle take over.

Anamika:: in Parthiv's case, alls well if it ENDS.

Amit:: True, rot begins at the top i.e. at BCCI functionaries.

Pallavi:: its crap show and ridiculous concept, hmm among VIVA that Mahua was good.

Anonymous:: Dude, it was a mistake to not select him for the aussie series and it is a mistake to select him for just one-off oneday match, even in that I don't think he'll b in playing XI.

Hima:: Nah...that wasn't for effect's sake, I actually missed that not-so-friendly beast by some inches.

Arunima:: :-)

Listen Parthiv haters(I just could'nt find a appropriate word because the way some people r criticising him),everyone has a rough patch in their life and Parthiv is just going through that but that does'nt mean that u will humuliate that poor fellow. It's very easy to sit back and poor ur outrage in words and name it criticism isn't it?
